Development Ideas

I had planned to do more different photo shoots like the Zodiac and bingo numbers, but when gaining feedback from teachers and students they said how they really liked the nursery rhyme and the 7 day shoots, and should spend time improving those to use as my final piece.

I took a second look at all my photo shoots, and agreed with these comments. As I looked through my work I saw that the photos weren't as strong as I could have made them. They were often out of focus, had too many distractions, or just didn't look good as an overall image.

Therefore, I have decided to develop my ideas of the nursery rhyme photo shoot and the 7 days photo shoot. They were my strongest pieces of work as they related to numbers better than the others. The seasons photo shoot and elements photo shoot were not that related to numbers; the only factor was they were four of each (four seasons and four elements).

To develop the chosen photo shoots, I am going to spend the remaining weeks improving the photos taken. This means that I will ensure I have a variety of photos for each idea, making sure they are in focus with a professional overall look. For example, with the nursery rhyme idea I will improve the door photo, egg photo and sticks photo because they are very weak; they aren't in focus and have a boring composition. I will keep in mind the composition, lighting and objects while taking the photos so the outcome is strong.

If the photo shoots go to plan, I will then decide which photo shoot to use for my final piece.
