I ensured the composition was close up so you only focused on the paper, and also placed a lot of paper like that so it wasn't just a plain white photo; you can tell it's paper this way.
I used an aperture of F/5.6 and a shutter speed of 1/80 sec as I needed to allow a wide depth of field so all of the paper was in focus, and I had a lot of light so I didn't need to allow too much light through the lens.
As it is paper, the colour is only white as I wanted it to represent the pureness of a relationship as it tends to be innocent.
The texture is smooth which represents relationships even more by making it seem like it is going smoothly.
Overall, I would improve this image by increasing the contrast so it doesn't look as dull.

I used an aperture of F/10 and shutter speed of 1/20 sec as it had to be quite a narrow depth of field to capture all the detail and textures. Cotton is white so that is the only colour in this photo.
The texture is soft which helps keep the innocent theme.
I think this photo could also be improved by increasing the contrast.

The composition is close up with an attempt of leading lines.
I used an aperture of F/5.6 and a shutter speed of 1/15 sec as it needed to be a wide depth of field to capture the smooth texture.
The colours used are black which is at a high contrast to improve the outcome.
To improve this picture I would move the line so it was further to the right in order to create a better leading line. I would also remove the area at the top left corner as it is quite distracting.
I used an aperture of F/5.6 and a shutter speed of 1/13 sec as the depth of field had to be wide to keep all the objects in focus.
The colours are all bright yellows, greens and pinks as I wanted them to compliment one another and keep a cheery mood.
To improve this image I would try remove as much of the white space as possible because it's distracting.
I used an aperture of F/8 and a shutter speed of 1/30 sec as I needed a narrow depth of field to capture the texture.
The colour is a dark brown which looked much better than the light wood as it looks more mature.
I would improve this image by removing the white areas as it ruins the image.
I used an aperture of F/8 and a shutter speed of 1/5 sec as the depth of field had to be narrow to focus on all the grains and I couldn't allow too much light through as it didn't show the grains well.
To improve this image I would brighten it up so it looks less dull, or crop it so only the sugar is in the frame.

I used an aperture of F/8 and a shutter speed of 1/30 sec as it had to be narrow to show the texture. I tried to keep all the colours copper by using copper coins and pipe, but there is some white areas from the background so I would remove that to improve this image further.
I used an aperture of F/8 and a shutter speed of 1/13 sec as it had to be narrow to show the rough texture well.
I would improve this image by searching for a better bronze object.
I had a close up composition to keep the image abstract so I was still responding to Chris Jordan, but it was a circle so I had some background in the frame. Therefore I edited this image by cropping it so only the pottery was in the frame.
I used an aperture of F/5.6 and a shutter speed of 1/5 sec as it needed to have a wide depth of field to show the textures and I didn't want too much light through as it would have blurred out the object.
I would improve this image by changing the angle so the handle was out of the frame as you can slightly see it in the top right corner so it's distracting, and I would also want the whole circle to be in shot.
I used an aperture of F/8 and a shutter speed of 1/13 sec because it needed to be a narrow depth of field to capture the texture.
The composition was close up to fill the whole frame to keep it abstract, but the dints and lines in it keep it interesting so you recognise what material it is.
I would improve this image by ensuring the light didn't hit it too much as the top area is lighter than the bottom because of this.
Overall I am really happy with how this shoot went. It was much better than the still life version so I'm glad about that. All the images are in some way abstract so you have to look at it carefully to figure out what it is. At first you wouldn't know what it's about, but then you link the images together and realise it's representing traditional wedding anniversary gifts which is what I wanted to achieve.
