Response to Annabelle Breaky

I wanted to respond to my photographers, so I started to respond to Annabelle Breaky by creating a series of brightly coloured photographs with objects going up in numbers. Annabelle had one Slushy, then two cherries and then three lemons, so I will respond to this by doing the same thing of bright colours and maybe some different objects to make it my own. Below are Annabelle's photographs which I want to respond to.

 Below are my responses.
The first photo shows an apple which I had to edit on Photoshop to have a bright background in order to respond to Annabelle's ideas. She also had white outlines around her objects so I tried to do the same.
I used an aperture of F/13 and a shutter speed of 1/125 sec as I had the studio lights letting through a lot of light so I only needed a narrow depth of field to capture all the texture.
The colours used are red and white because I needed the background to be the same colour as the object just like Annabelle had done.
I had the composition in the middle so it popped out the screen just like Annabelles. To improve this image I would change the white area so it was neater, and would ensure the apple was cut out properly as you can see where it has been cropped at the bottom of the apple.

The second image is two lemons (to show the order of numbers increasing).
The composition is still in the middle in order to respond to Annabelle, and the colours are yellow as they had to match.
I used an aperture of F/16 and a shutter speed of 1/40 sec as it had to be narrow to capture the detail.
I would improve this image by making the white areas neater.

The final image I had taken was the oranges.
I had the composition in the middle so they all stood out and to make it clear there was three of them.
I used an aperture of F/16 and a shutter speed of 1/40 sec in order to have a narrow depth of field so the detail was shown.
The colours used are orange and white as it all had to match just like Annabelle's.
To improve this image I would have less bruised oranges and I would make the white areas neater.
